I'm a great fan of beach holidays. All that sand and sea air is positively addictive. I like walking along the beach, looking for shells, swimming, building sand castles with my daughter. I love picnics on the beach – as long as I can keep the sand out of my sandwiches.

If you're going to have a beach holiday then you need somewhere to stay. In North Carolina you could go for Outer Banks vacation rentals. Then, when you've had enough of the beach you could visit Kitty Hawk and other famous locations. In fact, you could even stay there – in the same place as that historic first flight. Mindblowing, isn't it?
