Twisted Killer sentenced to life without parole

Last Friday a Federal Inmate Williams Sablan was spared execution for the murder of his cellmate. Sablan killed his cellmate then disemboweled him and used the entrails to taunt correctional officers.

Apparently a jury could not unanimously agree to execute Mr. Sablan. However he will be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

That is so crazy. I feel sorry for people in prison that got put there by a mistake. Or for the people that are truly innocent and in prison.

were they both murderers? You know, part of one of the things I've always said is that if you give a person life, there's really nothing more you can do to most of them, so why people get shocked when this type of thing happens surprises me, to a degree. Not that I support anything else, but I've always felt that if you're going to give people life, you have to set it up so that it's really safe, effective, and punitive.
