Himalayan Mountains attract both domestic and foreign tourists from any where in the world. Tourism is an important industry in himachal Pradesh. But a trip by own car is much more enjoyable.To plan a trip to Dharamsala one can go either from Pathankot or Shimla Many people also visit through Chintpurni,. The air on this route becomes pleasant and different at every place .
The beautiful places at Dharamala include War Memorial, Kangra Art museum, McLeodganj{ His Holiness the Dalai Lama , Spiritual Leader of the Tibetans made it his refuge} It is nicknamed Little Lhasa. The Tibetan medicine and handicrafts are main attractions.
Other attraction are Namgyal Monastery has large statues of Budha avloketshwara and padmasambhava. Several beautiful thanka Paintings can beseen in the temple .norbulinka Institue , church of ST. John, Dal Lake, bHagsunath temple, Dharamkot, Triund offers view of snow clad mountains.
