So the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament officially got started last night with the first round game (don't call it the play-in game or the powers that be get very upset). Monmouth trounced Hampton to get the opportunity to lose to Villanova in the real first round.

The tourney really gets going tomorrow at twelve o'clock eastern time. At the same time the US economy will come to a drastic halt as millions hop on their desktops to keep track of the tournament (CBS will be showing out of region games on cbssportsline.com). Twelve o'clock is when most office pool entries have to be entered.

So I have decided that I will post my tournament bracket for all of you out there to see, use, and ridicule if you like. All I did was scan my hand written bracket so please excuse the bad handwriting and the scratch outs (actually I think the scratch outs show that I probably spend to much time on this every year).

In my final four I have one #1 seed, one #2 seed, and two #4 seeds. I have an all ACC final game with Duke beating Boston College by a score of 79-70. I picked two #12 seeds to beat #5 seeds in the first round just because there is at least one of these every year. My bracket also has a little bit of a Big East bias because I think that was the toughest conference in the country. No Big East teams in the final four because this is just the way I think things are gonna play out.
