Too Many Credit Card Offers?

Going to get the mail sometimes requires that you bring along a big trash bag to help you bring it all back in. Especially when your mailbox is overflowing with credit card offers.

What do you do with all the credit card offers you get?

Hopefully, you don't apply to all of them! The offers are the way credit card companies attempt to compete with one another. They have learned that if they have the best interest rates, the best introductory offers or favorite rewards programs, they'll get new customers to sign up for their credit cards.

Credit card companies have also learned that many people become loyal to a certain card once they begin using it, so they spend lots of money trying to encourage people to sign up to their latest card offer.

If you are looking for a credit card, just be sure that you compare various offers and pick one that will offer you the most value when you consider how you will actually use the credit card.

If you travel, find one with a travel rewards program. If you never travel- what good is a card with airline miles? You would want to find one that offers you gas rebates or cash back on all purchases.

Most importantly- don't apply to every credit card you see and make sure you can manage the payments when you do use a credit card to avoid getting in over your head with debt- much easier to avoid debt than to get out of debt!
