Tomorrow's Final Score: Panthers 6 Bears 3

I'm predicting a 6-3 win for the Carolina Panthers over the Chicago Bears tomorrow in their NFC playoff game at the refurbished Soldier Field. The Bears lost their only previous playoff game in the last decade, and that was a home game as well. Their defense has not played very well lately, and the Carolina offense has improved lately, so I don't think the Bears 13-3 win earlier in the year against Carolina is particularly relevant. Carolina has a far better placekicker (Kasey) than the Bears (rookie Robbie Gould). In the kind of low-scoring game I expect, field-goal kicking could prove to be the crucial deciding factor. I'm not convinced Bears quarterback Rex Grossman will make it through this game without getting injured (he usually only goes a couple games before getting critically hurt). The Panthers looked outstanding in their 23-0 road victory over the New York Giants last week. Despite the fact the Bears had a bye last week while the Panthers played a game, I still think the Panthers will come out on top and send Bears fans home unhappy.
