My husband and I tried to get an Xbox 360 when it first came out, but to no avail. My sister bought my husband an Xbox 360 game for Christmas because that was what we were trying to get for our own Christmas present. We have been finding them in the stores the last few weeks, but they have been core systems. We refuse to buy a core because the extra $100 for the permium is worth it with all the extras you get. SO we finally broke down and got one off Ebay. We paid a little more for it after shipping than we would have waiting in the store. But we are ok with that. It arrived, it's missing the advertised remote and the seller won't get back to us. Ok we can live with that for now. My husband put in a regular Xbox game because Microsoft promoted that if you had the hard drive (which came with the premium bundle but had to bought separately if you bought the core system) it had backward capabilities. It worked. A friend came over later that bought our old Xbox off us. She wanted to see one of the regular Xbox games I had because she thought it looked neat. It wouldn't work in the system. We went to the Xbox site (like the system told us to) to see if it was on the approved backward list. It's not. Neither is my other favorite game I played on the Xbox 1. So I pretty much have nothing to play on the new system until they add these. According to the site they are adding monthly but the last update was December 2005. I'm highly disappointed that a system that was touted as having backward technology, was made so that only certain games played on it until they get the others added. So as of right now, I'm not impressed with the Xbox 360.
