As a Japanese American, I have grown up on the stories of my families past. One of those stories happens to be when the Japanese Americans were illegally sent to the Internment Camps during WWII. I was personally appalled when I found out that many people didn’t even know that the Internment camps even existed. This is the first of a six part description of the Horrors that went on in those camps.

On December 7th 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor both bringing America into the War and also starting the biggest imprisonment of American citizens by America in its history. The Japanese were sent into places called Internment Camps, which were basically quickly built buildings behind a fence. All people of Japanese decent on the West Coast were considered a “Threat. They were imprisoned in these camps for 3-4 years before they were finally allowed to go home.
