I stay in pretty good health, it's not often that I have to make a trip to the doctors office, but I did today. I have a "UTI" or a bladder infection as us common folk call it. I was up all night last night, literally in the bathroom every 15 minutes not peeing, but feeling like I had to. Not to mention that horrible burning when I actually did manage to pee.
I realise no one wants to know about my bladder problems so I'll move on. So I went to the doctor today to get some med.'s to get rid of this infection. I had the usual long wait in the sitting room, with the usual group of elderly people staring at me. There was one thing that was very different about this doctors visit though. The nurse. I had the absolute sweetest nurse today. I guess I never noticed how less than socialiable my nurses have been in the past.
Now please, don't get me wrong I know nurses have a lot of work to do, I certainly don't expect any of them to spend all day in the room with me. It was the little things that this nurse did, like when she left the room she looked at me and said "I hope you feel better sweetie, have a good holiday." It was such a little thing, but it made her the sweetest nurse I've ever had.
