The Simpsons is About Interfamilial and Intrasocietal Relationships

Walker First's picture

you might think that The Simpsons are just a comedic interlude between the horrors of "The Evening news" and the let's make a deal for the rest of the "Prime-Time Viewing hours and fill it with moronic game shows.
The Simpsons is about the relationship of Marge, Maggie, Bart, Lisa and Homer within their nuclear family.

The Simpsons is also about their family's relationship with the good people of Springfield, and Bart and lisa's with the silly Springfield School System. (which is a lot like he one in your home town!)
Homer Simpson created the namesake television show to launch the FOX Television netWork which at that time was just broadcasting part-time from a handful of stations. The fledgling network didn't even have a news organization of it's own.
Now that The Simpsons have made the FOX media companies the preeminent broadcaster in the United States, creating American values as well as American Idols, Homer Simpson visited washington D.C. and thought Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can I do for my country?
Traveling to Washington D.C. Homer Simpson noticed that all the radio stations play the same songs; he found a web page that introduces new American music, no special "Media Player" needs to be downloaded.

First, did you post this more than one?

Second, I couldn't find, on the provided link, where Homer said what you state he said, though I couldn't help but notice how close it was to what John Kennedy said.

Third, Homer Simpson didn't create anything; Matt Groening created the Simpsons based on his Life is Hell cartoons, which supplemented the Tracy Ullman Show.

Four, Fox is the preeminent broadcasting company in the United States? When did that happen?

I must have lived a much different history of the Simpsons than you have.
