I took my kids to see "The Shaggy Dog" starring Tim Allen and Kristen Davis last night.

They have been begging since the movie opened and I finally decided to do it.

I remember the original Shaggy Dog movies from when I was a kid and wasn't that impressed with them. They were okay, but never my favorites. Of course, I was never a big fan of the Love Bug either - maybe I'm just strange.

This version of "The Shaggy Dog" was worth the ticket price. The kids didn't want to go to the bathroom once - a mark of true cinematic artistry. Hubby and I enjoyed the flick and all laughed and giggled throughout.

The movie isn't slow-paced and the action gets going early on - essential to keep young viewers attentive.

I felt the laughs were family-friendly and didn't force Mom and Dad into unwanted explanations as some movies do.

In all, "The Shaggy Dog" is a good movie for family viewing. It's funny, heartwarming and just plain full of laughs.
