Because of the times we live in, the fast lives we lead, the fast foods we eat, the stresses we can't handle, we surely need some extra help by supplementing with vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals are the first chain of command needed to activate our body functions.

As a mater of fact, we are not getting enough nutrition from our diets. Taking nutritional supplements help to make us feel healthier. We may not be subject to severe diseases like scurvy, or other diseases from malnutrition as in developing countries, but we do have issues with marginal nutritional deficiencies which we may not even be aware of.
