The Pressures Associated With Graduating

Yeah, every one knows that graduating is a fun,yet stressful time. But I feel that schools make it even harder by not preparing students for LIFE.
In high school,no one ever prepares you for leaving your familiar environment and going off to a new place. No one teaches you how to say good bye to old friends.Sure, its exciting. But it's also incredibly terrifying.
High school is not the best times of our lives but it should at least be somewhat fun.In my few months left of high school,I'm afraid that all I'm going to be doing is worrying about next year. And I'm only going to community college.I don't have to leave my community or my boyfriend who will still be at high school. What about the people who do have to abandon all of these things? What must THEY be thinking?

moving on

its a part of growing up. i've lived in three different cities prior to moving to new york and they are around the world. moving on is a closing of a chapter of your life and an opening of another chapter.

Strangely enough..

For reasons that I still do not understand, there is nothing we can tell you that will help all that much. Moving on each time in your life, whether it is from high school, from college, from your home town, or from an established home is hard. When you look back on it, though, you are going to realize that it was the best thing for you. You will understand yourself better and how to function as an individual.

We could all give you advice and paragraphs like the one above that I just wrote, but none will make all that much sense to you. I know none of them did for me.

Just trust us on this one. There are a wide range of ages and experiences floating around here on this site and I would say most will tell you that moving on will help you mature and grow up faster than any of that "book learnin'" will.
