The Obama Train (Wreck)

All aboard. The Barack Obama Train now leaving reality and arriving in la la land November 2008 (maybe). People all over the U.S. are getting on the Obama Train. But the question is: do you know where you are heading. And the answer is NO.

I have heard the Obama rhetoric once before. I think it was almost eight years ago. A young politico from Texas running for president of the United States. He didn’t have much experience and what little experience he did have was lacking both in integrity and in substance. In the private sector he didn’t have much of a standing. In public office he didn’t have many accomplishments. But he would say pretty things; “I’m a uniter not a divider” and “We need a change in Washington“.. He had a nack for telling the public what they thought they wanted to hear. He had no real experience in economics or business. He had even less in foreign affairs.

I remember an incident just weeks after he took office. He was taking a break from all the hard work at his ranch in Texas. He had invited a young female reporter to interview him. This I remember very well. He invited the reporter into his home office pointed to a telephone and said, “From this phone I can reach any world leader in seconds. Would you like to see me get one on the line now?”. I remember this because he sounded so like a high school boy trying to impress a girl. At one point the reporter asked him who the leader of xyz nation was - he could not answer other than to say he had staff to brief him on such matters.

Barack Obama is a likable young man. He is very much like the young Texas Republican who wanted to be president. No real goals for the nation, just a lot of feel good words.

Again our great nation is faced with the ageless decision; who shall it be…. Why the lessor of two evils of course.

The lessor of two evils is not a great choice, just a safe choice. His opponent while not a great leader is a known quantity. Far better a known quantity than an unknown topped with inexperience.

I am not advocating for one or the other. I am begging you to think before you vote. Those of us who are more than eight years past voting age should remember the promises and words of the young man from Texas and compare those words and style with the candidates for president today.

I think the truth is beginning to shine on the Obama Camp

It would appear that the American public has begun to realize that all the Obama gibberish is just that. Words, some barrowed from others, don't make a good leader. Every time Clinton says here is what I intend to do, Obama says, "I agree with Hillary" that's because he has nothing to say on his own. Americans are not stupid. They are onto his game. And with all the concerns about race, there doesn’t seem to be any problem with the fact that 91% of all blacks are voting for Obama…. Sounds pretty racist to me! The Clintons have done much for the black community as well as the Latino community. All of this slice and dice of their one time supporters says a lot. Are we suppose to trust that kind of loyalty? I’ll pass, thank you!

Thank you for visiting American Rhetoric Review

At this point I will take inexperience from a democratic

Sassys

candidate over experience with any candidate that has "been there done that" and I have been around long enough to have voted for too many presidents...I did vote for a Clinton...now I would like to see something different...I would like to see the Democrats use someone that is inexperienced...but the crucial difference in Obama and Bush is Obama has a BRAIN...I doubt you will ever hear him say anything like "Why IS our children not learning?" So I disagree with the premise of your blog.
