It was Saturday morning; I was at one of my favorite coffee shops sipping green tea and reading a book. As usual, I shut out the whole world around me and totally became engrossed in my reading.
However, on this particular beautiful Saturday morning something hits me. I stopped for a moment and my whole life flashed back at me all at once. Before I knew it, I was staring at the big window in front of me, as if I’m watching all my normal days’ passes by without savoring them. I was beaten by regret after I read the following words from this book and it goes like this
“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, savor you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow,” the writer Mary Jean Irion implores life, surely for all of us, in her wonderful book Yes, World. “Let me hold you while I may, for it will not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky, and want more than all the world for your return.”

But the good thing is, from that moment on, my life changed for the best and that’s why I want to share it with you and I do really hope you’ll make the best out of it too.
Let’s savor our normal days!
