ROMANCE, n. Caviar canning chateau*. Fishy business that can lead to the shimmer of fry or the sizzle of the frying pan.

    A bright boy with a flower
    Found a lass under a bower
    And they went into a tavern for a brew.
    They talked of books and finances,
    Software bugs and romances;
    The beers that they consumed were not a few.
    They embraced; but then, the silly thing,
    He asked about a coupling,
    She said that that was something she won’t do.
    He said that he would miss her -
    She then slapped him on the kisser,
    And oh the bloody row that did ensue.
    The squabble brought the keeper,
    Called the bouncer on his beeper,
    And out the door our little bright boy flew.
    Let this braying be a lesson
    To those who would be messin’;
    ‘Less you really think a beating is your due.
      - Baldrick
