MIRROR, n. Where the fault lies.
- From the individual and corporate behavior of citizens of the United States of America over the last fifty years or so, one might think that there was not a single looking glass in the country. Unfortunately, an instant's glance over the "beauty aids" section of any hardware store quickly falsifies that hypothesis. One is forced to the conclusion that research on computer graphics and artificial intelligence is far older and more advanced than we have been led to believe; that "mirrors" are actually sophisticated machines with high-definition screens and psionic abilities, displaying only what the viewer wishes to see.
