The Neverending Public Relations Game

Good god, am I the only one tired of hearing reports stating the obvious? Of course there are lobbyists who are buying off sleazy members of Congress.

A blind, deaf monkey with down's syndrome would be able to tell that Tom DeLay is (and has been) an evil, heartless man willing to sell his grandmother's leg for a trip to an island.

The problem is that there is a huge difference between being a "politician" and a "lawmaker." The people who are good at the schmoozing, networking and public speaking: all of the "politician-esque" duties are not good at the intricate demands that exist with the role of a "lawmaker." We need to stop being so superficial and eager to make quick judgments. This is really all of our faults. The electorate needs to increase its attention span.
