The last 3 days

Bodies | Brighton | Coronation Street | Cromer | DVD | Earls Court | London | plasticanated | speed stacks

Well a lot's happened since I last wrote. On Saturday, R had been on a sleepover then went on to Go Ape and forest-based high ropes experience. This was the party of the friend she'd stayed with. R had rung me at 7 am to say she was ill so I told her friend's mother to give her Calpol and that seemed to do the trick.

I went into town with A so she could buy M's birthday present. It's M's (husband) birthday on 13th May.

Later on that day we let M open his presents a week early as we'd be away on his actual birthday. He got a variety of presents and seemed to get the most fun out of R's one to him of stacking cups. This is very popular in the States. Him and the girls watched the DVD and spent many hours perfecting their speeds.

Sunday we woke bright and breezy to catch the train to London. We were going on a day trip and wanted to visit the Bodies exhibition at Earl's Court (www.bodiestheexhibition.com).

M was fascinated (help I've turned green and dunno how), and so was R but A was pretty bored by all the plasticanated bodies.

We then went to Spitalfields Market and tried to find some diner recommended in the Time Out of London guide but of course we couldn't so ate in Canteen which was fun. It was lovely to rest our legs and people-watch. Lots of whacky people dressed in whacky clothes.

We then got the train back home. All along we were awating news of my sister K who had gone into labour with her first child.

My mother rang at 11 pm to say K had had a baby boy.

She then rang again at 9 yesterday morning just as I was leaving the house to say I should go down to Brighton and visit her. So I quickly rearranged for M to pick the girls up from school then I drove over to Cromer for the start of my Women's Business Course. I started out with the business of writing and finished being a website desginer and having 4 clients. Better start some kind of training.

Then drove all the way down to Brighton which took 5 hours. Saw K and her beautiful baby then her husband K and my mother went for a meal at Brighton Marina in a fab Italian restaurant. Nearby was a famous actor from Coronation Street. Went back to K & K's house and went straight to bed.

I got up at 5:30 am to drive home.

Til later..,
