The Ninja 250 motorcycle was first introduced by Kawasaki in 1986, and for the most part is still the same bike that is produced by Kawasaki today. What makes the Kawasaki Ninja 250 so special when compared to any other available smaller sized motorcycle on the market today, is that is has more of the sport bike resemblance as seen in the bigger sized motorcycles, such as the GSX-R 600 and Ninja ZX-6R. For someone who is new to the world of motorcycle riding, it can be somewhat daunting getting on a 600 or 1000 cc size bike. With the Kawasaki Ninja 250 you are able to learn the very basics of riding a motorcycle on the open road without worrying about the handling of a bigger bike, and still look sporty while doing so.

When compared to the Suzuki GZ250, Honda Rebel 250, or the Yamaha Virago 250, which are all considered cruisers, the Ninja 250 has much more available engine power, as it can easily maintain high speeds over 80 mph, as well as having 6 gear shifts and front and rear disc brakes. With a max speed of 105 mph, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 comes all equipped with a 248cc liquid-cooled engine and 14,000 rpm redline which reads on a tachometer which none of the other motorcycles have.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250 as far as prices go, are well below the average of what most sport bikes cost. You can buy a brand new Ninja 250 for $3,000, which is the MSRP. Older or used Ninja 250's of course will be even lower in cost. Many people who own Kawasaki Ninja 250's as their first bike, move on to buying bigger sized bikes when they are more comfortable and ready for the change. With that being said, it is very easy to find Kawasaki Ninja 250's for sale in the local newspaper and online sites such as Ebay. And since the Ninja 250's first came out, there have been very little modifications done to the design by Kawasaki. This makes finding parts easy and inexpensive. Also, fuel consumption for the Kawasaki Ninja 250 is between 55 to 75 miles per gallon. So if you really need to save money on gas as well, a Ninja 250 would definitely get the job done.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250 is an outstanding motorcycle for any new rider, simply because it has the design, capabilities, and price that any new owner would want. And not to mention they are also fun to ride!
