a cat had a very long working life on a farm where she had to chase mice, make sure chickens and sheep were in order and sleep in a rotting, cold barn. God met her at the gates and asked, "what would you like now puss?"
The cat said "Oh meowster, I've had a hard life and I want now is a nice cushion in a warm spot by the window and for someone to stop by and stroke me occasionally."
God says, "your wish is granted."
Next day three mice who had a short life where they had to avoid cats, owls, dogs and other large creatures and could never get cheese.
"All we want now", they told God, "is some rollerskates so we can move faster to get the cheese."
A week later God asked the cat "how are you now?"
"Oh very well thank you meowster, and thank you for sending around the meals on wheels."
