Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God

The gospel Paul serves is the Gospel of God.

The gospel is about God.

It originates with God.

God owns the gospel.

The gospel is centred on God.

What a vital concept to grasp in a time when man-centred religion is everywhere.

The gospel is distorted in countless ways today:

-it is claimed as the basis for getting rich
-it is presented as a justification for military force
-it is presented as a therapy for the rich
-it is portrayed as the religious voice of middle class culture
-it is described as the cause of ultimate tolerance of all beliefs and every lifestyle

What a different message the apostle Paul believed in! The gospel, of which Paul had become a servant, was all about God.

God, God, God.

The gospel of God.
