With three kids, I hear plenty of humorous things around my house.
I decided to write down some of the funny things my kids have said because I thought they would be good for a smile and a chuckle.
Today, my four-year-old, Ruby was trying to say the word "Disney" as in Disney movies. I was listening to her struggling. Dinsey. Dinsney. Disey. Dinney. She just couldn't get it right. Finally in frustration she stamped her foot and declared "I'm just a little girl! I can't say that!"
We homeschool and today we were doing pirate projects (we watched the special "Blackbeard:Terror at Sea" Sunday night). The kids and I were having fun talking like pirates and when I said "Aaargh ye scurvy dogs," Ruby - who pretends to be a puppy quite often - looked at me as though I had lost my mind and said "Mommy, I'M the scurvy dog!"
A few days ago I was eavesdropping as my two girls - six-year-old Mia and four-year-old Ruby were talking about boys as we drove in the car. Mia has had a crush on a little boy at church. I heard Ruby ask her older sister if she still planned to marry Noah. Mia replied "Oh, that ship has sailed!"
I have often jokingly told my kids that I have eyes in the back of my head. One day while we were in the car, my son Kage asked me to look at the picture he had colored. I was driving and told him I couldn't look behind me to see his picture. He asked "Well can't you just look with your back eyes?"
