My father is the first man I got to know. I have no bothers. He has four noisy daugthers, each with her own opinions. How does my father take that?
I used to wonder what would men with daugthers only feel when they see their own flesh and blood grow up and walk out of the house. I could see my father in all men who feel sad,
My father, is a quiet man. Others may think he is abusive as he really hit on us hard when we were young. We used to prefer our neighbours' father who happened to be a kind and friendly man. Yet, growing up, I was thankful I have him as my father.
His quiet insights really amazes me. He reads widely and prefers oriental medicinal herbs and researches. Talking of which, I guess, being his children, my sisters and I never dispute his opinions as he can easily quoute from medical journals to defend himself.
If anything can be done for him, I will give him a day off on Father's Day. He has been the 'man' whom my sisters and I knew the first day we were born. And, he has never taken any rest since. He is still busy and caring as ever. Like any Asian fathers, I believe my father is forever crediting others for what he did.
We are all proud of what he did and still does, as he's the man we hope our husband can be ...... unfortunately, can't.
