The DaVinci Code

Due to all the talk about the DaVinci Code I made a trip to the theatre in order to see for myself.

The movie itself was quite all right, Emperor Constantine was correctly identified as a pagan who instituted the worship of Christianity the way he wanted it to be.

As a by note it might be worth adding that this is the reason we do not find any material from prior to Constantine which is the nature of today’s Christianity.

The millions of females slaughtered in the witch hunts were correctly reported on; I would have liked it if the millions of Gnostics slaughtered by the Church because they believed Jesus was just a man were mentioned also but I suppose that would be a bit much to ask.

In the movie Jesus and Maria had a daughter; validation of the Gnostic theories were unearthed in 1996 where a family grave from the time of Jesus was found which had contained the bones of a Joseph and Mary, a Jesus and Maria, their son Yehuda, Thomas and other names familiar with the Biblical fables.

All in all the movie is well worth watching, it is not an attack on Christianity, some people feel every attempt at honesty is an attack and for those I can only say; open your eyes!

thanks for the review

i havent seen the film but read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. i was born and raised in a christian household, went to catholic school for 8 years and have read the bible front to back multiple times. i find the theory interesting and it could be true...why not? it's nice to tickle your brain with stuff like this! as for all the conservatives that are freaking out over the movie....i am willing to put money on the fact that they have probably never read the book or seen the movie....tends to be the trend with people who are quick to make such huge allegations (remember the furor created over The Last Temptation of Christ?.....so may of those people complaining about it never even saw the movie!) so thanks for your open minded and educated review....after all the lambasting of the code i've read on other blog sites...this was refreshing.

The Educated versus the Morons

Thank you modelmom,I'm glad to see someone with a positive outlook.

We continually bear witness to the uneducated masses attempting to curtail the activities of those who have some knowledge.

The people crying; "Blasphemy" every time someone discovers a new angle is the same people that do not know what they are talking about.

These are the people who burned females at the stake for deriving pleasure from sex; they are the people who butchered those who would suggest the earth moved around the sun!

Are we supposed to have to suffer this mentality throughout our lives? Can't these people also be educated? A better world will not come about until they are educated, quit electing their own kin and grow up!
