The Central Theme

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son Romans 1:1

Paul’s second introductory comment about the gospel of God is that is “regarding his Son. Promised in the Scriptures centuries earlier, this gospel’s main theme is the Son of God.

He is its message and primary subject.

Contrast this with other distortions of the gospel popular today:

-the gospel of wealth and health
-the gospel of nationalism
-the gospel of greed
-the gospel of self-effort
-the gospel of respectable religion

All these are a far cry from the gospel that Paul preached.

His pre-occupation was with the person, the nature and the work of the Son of God.

You are so right. I hope you keep on pointing out what the Bible really teaches. The other day I almost cried when I read a blog that said the writer wasn't happy with what her religion taught so she just tailored it to suit her own needs. How sad.
