THE BLADE OF GRASS- NOT PLAGIARIZED

Tis a blanket of green seducing my eyes
Til it dances with the wind and I notice
one blade of grass, same but different
a contradiction of nature?

One blade of grass is alone and yet not
Kissed by the breeze, extremely unique
Yet still grass - as common as the rest
yet the mystery remains and yes, this is jest!

If you think this is a pun or simply bullshit
you may be wrong or right, but there must be something yet
to the story of that solitary one blade of grass
That intruiging one blade of grass :)

There is a mystery in the single blade of grass,
It holds the secrets of things both present and past.

I can peer into a solitary blade,
and know the journey of a man--and from whence he came.
For I know that the beginning and the end of all things,
seems to be many movements--yet they are one, and always the same.

It is the blade of grass that bends in the strong wind,
strong, yet yielding....forever free,
It is this knowledge and similarity that is the true song of my people,
And we will survive for an eternity.
