They did not consider them enemies.They also didn't know that they wanted there god for monetary value.I do believe this was a mistake on thier part.If they,including allother original Americans would have stood their ground sooner rather than later,we would very likely have a completely different culture than our current state of culture.Enlightened rather than the current ignorance we unfortunately have upon us like a plague from Europe,an invisible infector.
