Why is it as humans, the inteligent and ruling species on planet earth, we can't learn - expand our minds and think outside the box? As a whole we tend to follow the same paths, refuseing to take the left fork in the road, always following the herd down the right. Are we scared to try the new or are we secure with the old. Gas prices rise - we whine - but do nothing to change our habits. Politicians practise the same old stale politics and accomplish nothing, wasteing our tax dollars - passing laws but not enforcing them - listening to lobbyists and not the people - and still we do nothing. Republican - Democrat - makes no difference because there is no difference. We pit ourselves against each other instead of joining together to force a change in policy and direction. We the people had a chance in the last election to send a clear cut message to our elected "representatives" that we had had enough - and we failed by not cleaning house and getting fresh ideas and policies and direction.

We the people have forgotten who runs this show by not taking a stand and reminding our elected officials that WE THE PEOPLE elected you to represent us not lead us - I am not a sheep and I do not need someone to lead me anywhere. WE THE PEOPLE allowed them to vote for themselves nice fat retirement benefits for serving one 4 year term of office, where's the incentive to accomplish anything when you can count on a nice monthly benefit check for the rest of your life for doing nothing for 4 years? Until we the people take back our government and stand together for change, we the sheep can get back in line and take your sheering like the good "subjects" that we are.
