TEXAS WILDFLOWERS

The saying goes “April showers bring May flowers.” I guess no one bothered to tell that to the wildflowers here in Central Texas. Starting in early March the first bluebonnets start to bloom.

Early March also see these nice little purple flowers.

Then the yellow flowers start to make their appearance.

The Indian paint brushes start to bloom shortly after the bluebonnets.

Last but not least is the buffalo peas.

These are just a few that are blooming right now. It is really a colorful time of year and the best time of year for weekend road trips. I hope ya’ll enjoy the pictures.
