Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny Mini-Review

Just saw Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny on Saturday night. Here is a quick review:

The movie is about the "formation" of the band Tenacious D. Jack Black ran away from his home and joined another outcast, Kyle Gass. Together, they struggle through the hardship of being rockers. That is, until they learn about the Pick of Destiny, a pick that is said to make anyone using it into a top-rate rocker.

If you watched Nacho Libre or any other Jack Black movies before than you know what to expect. Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny features the same low-browed humor and cheesy story (with chalk full of clichés) you see in his other movies.

You will either love the movie or hate it. Personally, I loved it. The movie had a lot of funny and unsuspecting parts that you never knew what hit you. If you are a Tenacious D fan, than this movie was defiantly cater to you since their music plays in every other scene. Even if you are not a fan of them, this movie will make you into a converter.
