Is it January 2007 already? Where does the time go?
If you're like most people, individuals and business owners alike, January means getting your taxes together!
Hopefully we have all kept our receipts and kept our tax records updated throughout the year.
However, if you haven't, it might be time to hire a Virtual Assistant to do your yearly record keeping and bookkeeping. It's never too early to prepare for January 2008!
A great tip, one that seems to be more than not forgotten, is to claim your medical and dental expenses! This includes co-pays, visits and prescriptions!
If you haven't kept your receipts for visits and/or prescriptions, contact your doctor and/or your dentist and ask for a 2006 yearly summary. They will be happy to send you one!
If you haven't kept your receipts for prescriptions, contact your pharmacy and ask them for a yearly summary as well.
As always, you will find a tremendous amount of tax help and information at www.irs.gov.
If it's time to hire someone to do your bookkeeping for you, visit www.officesetting.com!
