Taking Living In The Closet To A Whole New Level

I knew that we American men don't always pay attention to what's going on in our surroundings, but I can tell you that something like this wouldn't get past me.
A woman was arrested for trespassing in the house of a Japanese man. He said he'd noticed food was missing for a couple of months and decided to set up surveillance cameras. They eventually showed someone in his house, and he called the police.
They came, searched all over and didn't see anything, then decided to start checking the closets. They finally came to one with a trap door, and that's where they found this woman hiding. Now, of course there's more to this story. Turns out she'd actually been living in this man's closet for about a year, first moving in one day when he happened to leave the door unlocked, and eventually moved a mattress in. She'd also been using his shower daily, making sure to keep herself clean and cleaned his bathtub. Just like a guy, he hadn't even noticed that his tub was clean and that he hadn't been cleaning it.
I just can't imagine missing something like that, and I have a big house and usually stay in one room most of the time. Then again, often I can't find anything in the refrigerator, even if it's staring me in the face, so who knows, right?
I think this proves why one should keep their doors locked.
