Well, I’ve not been silent here about not wanting to celebrate Hanukkah while still living with my friend. And, I’ve certainly not been silent about my disgust with her 10 year old daughter who seems determined to be the worst person she can be! Well, last night I sat witness to a true Hanukkah miracle!

How is Life Going?
Submitted by Kayzzaman on July 27, 2007 - 10:01pm. Continuity | death | Legacy | life | Trinity | wisdomWe live in the present with an eye to the future. But we can never forsake the legacy of past. The legacy of the past is so closely associated with our present that without its subliminal presence we cannot stay the course of our present and for that matter the course of the future never becomes explicitly clear before our eyes. This trinity of time is intricately interlinked and makes the best of our life. The past educates us to build our present and we build our future in the image of our present. So, past is never past or dead and moribund as it seems to be but rather it is revived in the form of present, that is, the present is the continuity of the past and so much so that the future in the same way can be said the continuity of the present. And in this trinity of time our life is truly fulfilled and complete.
Telepathy: "Hello, Is Anyone Home?"

Talking heart-to-heart is a natural ability for animals and people. Individual birds in a flock change their flight path at the same time. You "think" of a friend the moment before your friend calls. Coincidence? No. It's telepathy. The cosmic communication system. Free unlimited anywhere, anytime minutes - local or long distance. Forever!
Being a skilled listener
Submitted by angelface79 on November 8, 2006 - 8:53pm. Bible | christianity | communication | family | holy | life | listening | parenting | relationships | wisdomSome days, I just have one of those days where I really need to talk and I really need someone to listen. But it doesn't happen. When I need to vent, it seems like everyone else does too.
James 1:19 (NRSV) You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
I know this biblical verse isn't directly relating to what I said, but it's something that I take to heart. You really can learn if you just listen to what others are saying. And by listening, you become a good listener.
When I was young
Submitted by valley of a Diva on September 12, 2006 - 4:41pm. life lessons | plans | wisdom | youthI remember when I was young, I was always very naive and gullible. Because of that fact I have been fooled many times by many people.
Now I am very cold and hard
and that is very sad.
When I was young I was sleepwalking through life.
Because of that I was always in the wrong place
at the wrong time.
Now I live in awareness,
it is hard but I know what is real.

The title of this weblog: Something I am teaching myself to say!
Submitted by ShamanicShift on June 17, 2006 - 12:01am. everyday situations | fool | fun | Harmony | life challenges | ordinary reality | peace | reply | wisdomI may change the title of this weblog soon. 'Thank-you for being my T.V. today!' is one of the phrases I am teaching myself to say whenever someone is annoying me when I would rather be entertained. I was inspired to reply this way once and it transformed the situation...so I am experimenting further. Gentler 'street jesting' techniques like this go over better when delivered with a smile...even with a 'wannabe' smile.
If I Knew Then What I Know Now
Submitted by deorre on March 11, 2006 - 12:01am. hindsight | insight | lessons | wisdomSo much wisdom collected as the years amass. That's a nice way of saying, "the good thing about becoming an old fart is that experience may lead to wisdom."
When I was young I truly believed, for instance, that the world revolved around me. It was not a conscious thought. Just something expressed in my actions. I definitely thought I had so much to say that others would rather listen to me than have me listen to them.
