Republicans Vote Against Mothers.

democrats | Mother's Day | Republicans | vote

Proving once again that they have no soul, Republicans have voted against mothers. Or, more specifically, against Mother's Day.

On Thursday, there was a vote to recognize and honor mothers. They originally voted 412-0 in favor of House Resolution 1113. But then, Rep. Todd Tiahrt asked for them to "reconsider" the vote. Rep. Kathy Castor moved to table the request. This led to a revote, at which time, 178 Republicans voted "nay".

Are You Ready For The Next President? I think Not.

barack obama | debate | Hillary Clinton | president | vote

So obviously, today is all about our next president. Will we be saying Sir or Ma'am? It's been debated for a long while now. But the real stuff isn't until next year! So we thought we'd dip our toes into that one today. Now, mom has no particular side. (Democratic or Republican) But I am a Democrat. So, we'll see!!

Who is Ron Paul?

campaign | congress | president | Republican | Ron Paul | vote

Lately there has been a huge buzz about Ron Paul. If you're like me, you may not know a whole lot about this up and coming congressman in the presidential race.

Ron Paul was born August 20, 1935. He is a Republican and United States Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, a physician, and a 2008 U.S. presidential candidate. He has represented Texas's 14th Congressional district (1997–present) and its 22nd district (1976–1977 and 1979–1985) in the U.S. House of Representatives. Paul placed a distant third in the 1988 presidential election, running as the Libertarian nominee while remaining a registered Republican. After his 1961 graduation from Duke University School of Medicine and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he became a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, serving outside the Vietnam War zone.

Should the Law be Changed?

When President Bush commuted Scooter Libby's sentence Libby had not served even one day for his crime of obstruction of justice. Bush had previously promised to fire anyone who had anything to do with the outing of CIA agent Valarie Plame. Instead, VP Dick Cheney and aide Karl Rove are still employed although they admitted to leaking her identity. Scooter Libbey didn't leak it but lied under oath about what he knew in an attempt to obstruct justice.

award | blog | contest | vote

Hello people!

Yupee! One of my favourite blogs was nominated in the Bloger's Choise Awards contest!

I strongly advice you to participate, maybe your blog will get nominated too! There are 36 categories, and every english writen blog can participate in up to 5 categories, so the chanses are increased!

And if you vote for my blog, I'll vote for yours! Don't worry, we will not be rivals. :-) My blog is a non-english blog, so I can only participate in the "foreign language" section.

But, hey, if you vote and comment my blog, you'll get 5 votes from my part! How that sounds?

If you don't have any blog, but still you vote for my blog, my gratitude will be even higher, and I'm sure I'll find a symbolic way to show it. I don't find any idea right now, but, it will come into my mind.

But enough introduction, I wont to tell you a little about it as I'm very proud of my little "child".

TO THE FANS OF THE LEGEND OF GHOSTWOLF

I want to thank everyone that went to thelot.com and viewed and rated the trailer. Shane also passes along his thanks. To those who have received a copy of the movie we have a favor to ask. Please go to IMDb and rate the movie there. Right now it is rated 3.5 out of 10. Now I don’t think it deserves a 10 but it should at least rate a 7 for all the blood, sweat and tears we shed making the thing. You can go here The Legend of Ghostwolf to submit a rating and a written review. Thanks and I hope to see everyone at myspace.

AIDS

More than 38 million people around the world are infected by HIV/AIDS, 25 million in Africa alone. I am not responsible for your naivete.

democrats | election | politics | Republicans | vote

Otherwise known as, you should have done your own homework!

Officials today have announced that because the election is so heated this year, they are taking steps to ease the polls. They are expecting a large voter turnout, and they want to avoid the potential firestorm that is certain to happen when staunch Democrats and fierce Republicans have to meet at the polls. So in order to combat any potential problems, they have announced that they are changing the polling dates somewhat. See below for the proper voting date.
