Arkanoid was a video game that was very popular in the early 1980's. You would see it in many liquor stores or arcades you went into. The game wasn't that complicated, the concept was very simple yet the game was really challenging. You controlled a ship on the bottom of the screen (it really doesn't even look like a ship)that moved only left and right.

GET PAID FOR TESTING VIDEO GAMES! INSANE BUT TRUE - MONEY MADE EASY WHILE HAVING FUN

Submitted by mrhobbie on June 25, 2008 - 11:38pm. video game tester | Video GamesHave you ever thought of becoming a video game tester? Great job you say ha, but where do I look? First off, not everyone could be a video game tester. If you are already a gamer though who spends at least 20 hours a week playing video games then becoming a video game tester may be right for you. Just remember though that you are doing an actual job. It's not like your just having fun playing games all you want. What I mean is, you might have to play the same level of a game over and over and over and over as you try to spot bugs or glitches in the game. Sure, it's not hard labor or anything but one must understand that they are providing a service and must file reports on their testing of the games they work on. What that means is you can't just sit down and have fun with the game; you have to analyze it, evaluate it, and be aware of everything that is going on on-screen. In retrospect, you won't be playing the game, you'll be testing it. Although that may not mean much to regular gamers, it means all the difference in the world to a video game tester.
Kung Fu Master Video Game
Submitted by mrhobbie on June 20, 2008 - 5:42am. arcade games | atari | nintendo | old school video games | retro games | Video GamesKung Fu Master was a very popular arcade game of the 1980's that later would be released on NES, Playchoice-10, Atari 2600, Atari 2800 and other video game consoles.
The main character of the game was Thomas. You had to punch and kick Thomas's way up 5 floors fighting grippers (regular size guys who liked to hold you), tom toms (the midgets - who would sometimes do a flip and smack you on the head) and knife throwers. You would take a real beating trying to make it to the top floor but if you did you would save your love - Sylvia. At the end of each floor you would meet up with the leader of the floor. You would probably get your butt kicked the first couple times around until you practice a little and learn the strategies to beat each leader.

An obscure love
Submitted by xenokitten on July 7, 2007 - 3:35pm. animation | Anime | game | games | ren'ai | Video Games | VideogamesThe problem with anime in America is that it is still very much a Niche market. Most of the shows and games that I love, no one else has heard of. There was a recent anime awards show, with winners and nominees being in mainstream titles such as Full Metal Alchemist, Zatch Bel, Naruto, Bleach, Hellsing, FLCL, Samurai Champloo, Inuyasha, Tenchi, Kenshin, and Ghost in the shell. There's nothing wrong with these titles per say, but they're hardly the end all be all of anime.

Al Gore | jenga | Video GamesGoing through my library of games, I found this gem from a while back. 2005, and then even further for the original PC game. Popping it into my XBoX 360, I found that little had changed. This game is the definition of casual gaming, and fun. Running through the crafty mini-games, which show themselves over and over again, is plain fun. You never feel bored, or lost, as it’s a “Do-it-yourself” type of game, with loads to do.
