On Monday I had my usual check-up with the Dr. Everything is going well and I have no serious complications with the chemo. But the best news was my CA125 number. The CA125 measures how much protein the tumors for ovarian cancer make. Normal is below 20. My number is now at 7!!! Before surgery it was 44, then at the first chemo it was 24 and now 7. So, that is terrific news that the numbers are going down. It indicates that the chemo is working and the cancer that is left is responding to the chemo. My cancer isn't very good at making protein, so we know not to rely heavily on the numbers, but we are looking for good signs that the treatment is effective.

The transcription of the last 32 minutes of United Airlines flight 93 has been released. The flight was hijacked on September 11, 2001 and crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. All souls aboard died that day. Let us not forget the victims that day who simply booked a flight and never returned home.

The hijackers alternated between Arabic and English. The words in parenthese was originally spoken in Arabic.

Why does domestic violence seem to be on the increase? Why is it that men think they have the right to humiliate women, and hit, punch or other wise cause them pain?

One would think that we have progressed a lot since the caveman days, but it still seems that some men seem to think that their role is to demand their wife or partner to obey.

It is extra ordinary that this behaviour continues - and it is amazing that stories of most inhumane behaviour persist in our communities.
