It is a fantastic place to visit. Each year more people visit Orlando for the theme parks and white sand beaches. In 2000, 43.3 million people visited the area. It is the number one tourist destination in the world. Tourism brings billions of dollars into the area's economy, opening up more opportunities to the residents than people enjoy anywhere else in the country. But, there are more things than theme parks. I want to go to the concerts. My son has already staked his claim to an airboat ride in the Everglades. My husband is going to spend the time in Sports venues. My daughter has her heart set on the theme parks.
