It is difficult to believe that an Orlando mother can put a baby in the warm oven.

On Transformers, Movie Trends, and Predictions

Cartoons | childhood | comics | film | g i joe | movies | ninja turtles | predictions | transformers | trends

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then the Transformers, and now an officemate just told me that G.I. Joe is being turned into a movie. Not to mention X-Men, Spiderman, and Fantastic 4. See the trend here? It seems the movie industry has run out of original ideas and are cashing in on our childhood (or theirs). Not that that's a bad thing. It's always a treat to look back to the past and see how much different it is from today. For a couple of hours, we become innocent children staring with wonder at the TV screen, watching Robots transforming to cars. A lot of people think its so great to be tall. When it comes to shopping, it really sucks! I wear a medium top, but the arms are too short. I can't buy jeans, just anywhere, because on me, everything is a capri.

clothing | fashion | trends

Starting back in college whenever me and my friends would encounter someone with a "popped" collar (wearing the collar up) we would just kind of laugh to ourselves. It got to the point where whenever we encountered a "popped" collar in a bar, somebody would always make the obligatory "i'm gonna go over and tell him his collar is up" comment/joke.

Well I graduated from college in May 2003. Here it is April 2006, almost three years later, and what do I see when I'm walking down the street? I see a Gap display showcasing one of their new products for the spring-- the "popped polo". I was stopped dead in my tracks for like two minutes (in NYC that is an eternity).
