Oklahoma and it's weather

Govenor | Oklahoma | snow | states | Terminator | tornado | weather

I don't know about you but I am getting tired of the wish washiness of th weather in Oklahoma. I guess that you could say that we really could use the rain but on the down side of things, this weather that we are having in Oklahom is making everyone sick.

I can see that it is happening in a lot of States this year but when you have lived in Oklahoma for as long as I have then you think that you would be use to it by now.

Tornado shelters

F6 | shelter | storm | tornado

A few years ago, right before my son was born, my mother-in-law was getting ready to come visit her new grandbaby. Instead of visiting us soon after the birth, she had to wait. She's lucky she got to visit us at all. She had been in one of the worst storms on record.

There are a few things you can do to prepare yourself for a disaster.

1. Keep bottled water on hand...ALL THE TIME...by the time the storm/earthquake hits it is too late. By the time people know it is coming it is too late....the stores are empty.

The Worst way to Spend a Sunday Night

hail | tornado | weather

We interrupt our regularly scheduled Estrogen weirdness to give this important announcement:

Don't spend Sunday nights in your bathtub with a mattress over your head!!

I'm totally serious. We moved from the frozen tundra about 10 yrs ago and live in Missouri now. If you've been watching the news, you know our whole area was effected by severe weather and tornados last night and Saturday. This has been such a weird year and I'm not looking forward to whatever Mother Nature has in store for the rest of this spring.
