Cure For Temper Tantrum Found

baby | parenting | temper tantrum | toddler

It’s been a really rough day with my toddler today. There were a few times I just wanted to hide from her! Well there was one time today when I did step outside for a minute while she was throwing one of her temper tantrums. I just needed a minute to gather myself…

I noticed that all the yelling had stopped, at any other time but today I would have rushed back inside. Why? Well, you already know that! Because when a child is quiet, you know that they are up to something…bad. However today I was so worn out, so frustrated and so just at the end of my rope my usually fine instincts failed to kick in and stayed outside for a few more minutes.

UN Plan- Dr. Morning

baby | doctor | morning | parenting | sleep | toddler

I'm not a morning person. I hate talking to people in the morning, hell I hate living with people in the morning.

This morning my daughter has a doctor's apt. at 10am, she usually wakes up around 8 so I figured I'd get up with my fiance at 6, have everything ready to go before she woke up and my day wouldn't suck so much.

Guess what time B (my daughter) woke up? YOU GOT IT, 6AM on the dot. As it turns out the morning hasn't been so bad, hey it's 8am and I'm writing this now right? I'm just watching her pull all of the clothes out of the hamper.

Potty Training for the Clueless (Like me!)

parenting | potty training | preschool | toddler

Yes. I admit it. I'm ashamed, but it's true.

My 3.5 year old son isn't potty trained.

Everything I read and heard told me not to push him, that it only made things worse. So I didn't. And didn't. And didn't. And now I am expecting another baby in a couple of very short months and I'd *really* like to not have 2 in diapers since they're so far apart in age. Plus the one and only preschool we could find in this tiny town doesn't like kids who aren't potty trained. So I figured it was time to force the issue, gently.
