On Pay-Cuts and Rain Dancing...

ideas | pay | rain | Reduction | salary | thinking | thoughts | work

The Problem:

On the 22nd of August, 2008, my bosses (I call them 'the direks') announced a 50% salary reduction for the company's regular employees. Okay, to begin with, my salary was 25% lower than my salary at my previous job. Now, it's being reduced even lower. Fine, I understand about the economic crisis. Both my parents are into business. My lifestyle is basically dictated by economic trends. I know when belts have to be tightened. But what happened here was totally wrong. The direks were practically boasting that they had little or no monetary investments in the company. But there were investments involved... ours! Because the direks refused to shell out money, we had to suffer for it. Any business needs a capital! Argh!!! I'm so upset! Now, I have to do extra work just to make a little bit more. I have to work long hours (including weekends) just to get a little bit of extra. Not fair!

Is there life after blogitive

blogging | Blogitive | diary | Journal | pay per post | phrase | thinking | thought | thoughts | writing

Losing my Blogitive "job" has really hurt. I don't mean my feelings, but my checkbook.

Although I wasn't making that much from it, it did help. I was looking forward to putting the next 2 weeks of earnings toward Christmas gifts.

I still can't believe they just up and did that with no warning, at CHRISTMAS time. I went to log in on a Monday morning, saw the entry underneath the login box, and boom within a few hours my blogs were deleted.

The other day I was looking over different posts here on Blogger Party. I came across one comment that mentioned something about there being the same posts on here. I took it to mean that possibly the person would be talking about posts from people that work with Blogitive or Blogsvertise.

These posts don't bother me at all. The reason I say this is because I don't have to read it. And if I do see something I like, I can read it. It's the same with any post on here, and I don't begrudge anyone that is trying to make an honest buck. If someone doesn't like reading them, then they should simply skip it and move on to the next post.

I don't do any posts for Pay Per Post at all. One of the reasons is due to their policy of not allowing posts on places like blogger party, etc. They talk about it not being very professional to blog on a website like that. Why? Because someone might make a few cents a day from doing it? I think that's very silly. It's not like any of our blogs here are making a fortune.

So for the people that are able to make $5.00 or $10.00 a post, keep up the good work. Reading these blog entries don't bother me at all.

How long does it take you to blog?

blogging | Blogitive | diary | Journal | pay per post | phrase | thinking | thought | thoughts | writing

I know alot of you on here do posts for Blogitive, so I wanted to ask a general public question.

How long does it usually take you to write 3 posts? When I say this, I mean the 2 posts of your own and the 1 Blogitive post.

Most people would not thinking that writing is hard. But sometimes, it can be very tough to come up with something to write. Especially, if you make a real effort to write something that others would want to read. Which I've noticed that most of you do.

Surprising the Child of New Age

blog | New Age | Philippines | review | thinking | writing

He called himself, The Thinker. I would review his work and he would thank me for it. If the corrections required appeared massive, he would say he‘d delete it. I would say, don’t as what were needed are just some deletion, some addition, some elaboration, and knitting the paragraphs well together to project what he had wanted to say. Some of his writings needed little corrections but they are really draining, one has to be patient in reading them. We then thought we belonged to the same pigeonhole: as thinkers.

Fucryin' out loud

blog | doing nothing | movie | numb | pchan | pchan33 | sarah | thinking | TV | weekend

I feel so out of sorts today. Not sick, just numb, unmotivated, and not hungry at all. I've felt this way all day, and I made so many mistakes at work today. I even made a huge mistake in an alarm, and I could have been written up for it, but luckily my supervisors were cool about it.

There's been some deaths in my family recently (not my immediate family), so I feel bad for everyone involved.
