Most of the oldest members of Bloggerparty know I've been here since the beginning. They know that I have a 7 kids and I blog to earn money from home. I don't mind helping people out. As a matter of fact, I have spent hours answering email from strangers that ask me how to work from home. That is why I created my Squidoo lens, but it wasn't so someone could come along, rearrange a few sentences and paste it on their blog. Does it make sense that I sleep two hours a day blogging, researching and putting together all this information so someone can copy and paste it on their blog! Oh and in the period of 18 days!

Yesterday, somebody nicked my bike. Lifted it out of an iron-fenced, locked (faculty ID card required), video-camera-surveyed enclosure on the U. Cal. Berkeley campus. I'm not happy. Yes I know: what else is new?

No, it wasn't one of these really flash machines. Better than a Wal-Mart special, but you wouldn't be taking it to the Tour de France. Was hardly new, but not old enough to be antique. I got it, in fact, in 1996 to get to places in the Washington DC area that I couldn't reach conveniently with the car I didn't have, or on public transportation. So it had a bit of sentimental value. But it also was probably to the point where I'd have to have started investing in replacement parts soon. If I could find any. The new possessor will soon find out about this.

Has anyone ever broken into your car or stolen it? My car's never been stolen but various cars have been broken into. I find it quite upsetting, more for the inconvenience than anything else. When someone breaks into your car, you're the one that has to do without it while the damage is being repaired and fill in endless forms, not to mention answering questions from snooty (or snotty) insurance agents. When this has happened I've sometimes thought it would be easier if the thief had stolen the whole car and written it off - at least then I could avoid negotiating with insurers about bits of damage. And I could focus on buying a replacement car instead.
