"And Your Bird Can Sing", is one of the great guitar songs from the "Revolver" album released in 1966. When the Beatles worked on this one, they first tried to record it with their trademark high pitched guitar sound, like can be heard on "If I Needed Someone" and "What You're Doing" but as the song evolved, they ended up recording a fast pace, hard rock guitar number of the period.

Some of these they did perform live at times but a record of them was not cut and officially released by them. Bootleggers later took the recordings and released them on unauthorized records and tapes over the years. In the mean time, the Beatles gave the songs to other groups, like others who played the Mercy sound from the Liverpool area of England, including "Gerry and the Pacemakers".

He was twenty years older than most of us twenty-somethings and, because of his age and demeanor, had our respect like few other grown-ups. He was akin to that one peculiar uncle we all seem to have.
