Well, this is a first. Seems there's a device that's called the Mosquito that repels teenagers. Supposedly this device emits a high tone that kind of sounds like a buzzing mosquito, but for the most part it can only be heard by teens around age 15 to young adults around 23. This is because they still have sensitive hair cells in their inner ears.

Teens create or join their own group with the sense of uniqueness they want to the different individuals they are. This shows that they want to separate themselves from others but having a company at the same time. That's why they want to be different "within" a peer group. Of course we remember the particular groups that evolve from time to time. From goths to punks, from rockers to melodamatic ones, there came a group which became a worldwide sensation. This group not only can be reffered to as a group but more of a generation. This generation is reffered to the EMO GENERATION.
Shopping with Teenagers
Submitted by tummaton on February 12, 2008 - 2:12am. shopping | teenagersAs children grow up and become more independent there is little need for them to go everywhere with their parents anymore. However many parents still want their teenage children present whilst on shopping trips if not for the purchasing of goods but simply just for the company and involvement in their teenagers life.
Decency Has Left The Logical Teenaged Mind
Submitted by Catfish on December 9, 2007 - 8:37am. Facebook | idiocy | logic | MySpace | online posting | pictures | teenagersEither parents aren't teaching their children anything about common sense anymore, or the kids aren't listening, because they're growing up stupid.
This time, I'm referring to the news story about two Penn State students who went to a Halloween party dressed up as West Virginia students who were shot and killed earlier this year by that other nutball maniac. They put a bunch of holes through some of their clothes and added red dye to simulate blood.

Teenagers in today's society
Submitted by MsCYPRAH on July 1, 2007 - 9:07am. Affection | Credit Cards for Students | Fear | parents | potential | previews | SOCIETY | student Credit Cards | teenagers | teens | upcoming filmsTeenagers in today's society have, to a great degree, the best and the worst of all worlds.
First, they are born into a society that couldn't be more revolutionary and innovative. They have all these gadgets at their disposal that their parents dreamt of and their grandparents couldn't even imagine. They have an incredible amount of information to aid their development. They also have opportunities galore to express themselves, to extend their reach, to discover their potential and to enhance their life quality. They would not be able to imagine what my world was like, 50 years ago, having to read by candles, having no phones at all, having nothing electrical and hardly any buses (we had to walk everywhere!). The mobile, the microwave, the video and Internet appear to represent an alien world I would not have believed capable of existing in my early childhood. So our youngsters couldn't be more fortunate.

Anger | behaviour | bluff | Frustration | love | respect | teenagers | Texas Hold-EmTeenagers are seldom disrespectful without a reason, because every child wants to be loved and valued. They would not risk their feeling of security and inclusion for the sake of it. The following are the most common reasons for disrespect, especially when:
I WANT TO DISAPPEAR!
Submitted by PurpleCrayonBrain on April 21, 2007 - 7:06pm. dads | fathers | Frustration | poem | teenagersI want to disappear
I want to run from fear
Danger is so near
I can hear it from here.
Run away its best
Forget about the rest
They will pass the test
Of being their best
Staying here I’ll lose my mind
I tried it for all time
I just can’t hear one chime
Of any more good times.
It’s all crap and bad
If I stay I’ll stay mad
And I want to be glad
So get out of the way dad.
Showing Up At The Bookstore In Your Birthday Suit? I Think Not!
Submitted by Jeanne Gibson on September 4, 2006 - 3:03pm. rebellion nudity | teenagersI found something new today to add to my, "Now I've Seen ALMOST Everything list" It seems that in the small town of Brattleboro, Vermont, teens have been running around naked.
They aren't holding a protest march, or engaging in sexual activity; they are just sitting on benches in the park, hanging out in front of their favorite restaurants or bookstores, and in general, just enjoying the reactions they are getting from the townspeople.

Buying Clothes for a College Kid or If I Don't Go Home My Head Will Explode
Submitted by ms zola on March 15, 2006 - 6:42pm. aerospastal | clothing | fashion | shopping | teenagersMy son told me he needed some new clothes as his jeans were getting holes in them. No problem, I thought. So off we headed to Aeropastal. I was fine. I really was. Until we checked out.
I was waiting at the cash register trying to hold our place in a line that stretched as far as the eye could see. Kids were ladened with as many clothes as they could carry.
I caught sight of my son and waved him over. He looked slightly irritated, his muscles flexing as he heaved the mounds of jeans up onto the counter top. At that point.....I was still fine....I really was.
Teenagers!
Submitted by Cristina134 on March 11, 2006 - 9:30pm. gangs | teenagersI'm 26 and I don't have any kids and at this point I don't think I do. Those cute little babies have this tendancy to turn into spawns of satan. Okay so maybe that is a little over dramatic, but still...teenagers can be evil. Last year I allowed my sister-in-law to move in with us. Everything was fine, but ever since she turned 18 in November it has been awful. She walks around like her life is the most horrible thing in the world.
Partisan Politics at the Dinner Table
Submitted by tutor1235 on March 3, 2006 - 11:48am. children | parenting | politics | social studies | teenagers | teensI've been watching with interest as my teen daughters develop and crystalize their political views. They obviously do a lot of thinking about politics, and it's clear that they are keeping up with current events somehow. I'm not sure whether they're reading a newspaper when I'm not looking or if they are being mandated to follow politics in one of their school classes, but the result is the same. My dinner table has become a flashpoint for partisan politics.
