I had the distinct honor the other day of meeting a truly nice lady named Jill that told me an amazing story about herself and her family...she and I actually have quite a lot in common as far as families go.

Charitable Bodies Fighting Against Mesothelioma

For the Mesothelioma cancer patients the gap between life and death is very little. The only hope is to resist through treatments for the time being.
I Will Survive - Won't I?
Submitted by SharonHH on January 4, 2007 - 3:25pm. music | Sponsored | survivalCan anyone forget the sound of Gloria Gaynor belting out I Will Survive? That song - no matter what you think of it - is guaranteed to get people off their chairs and onto the dance floor. But how would we really survive in case of disaster?
I thought about this the other day as I was reading about a couple's experience of a hurricane in the Caribbean. Like everywhere where disasters happen from time to time there is a list of things that you should have just in case, like candles, tinned food and matches.
Survival!!!
Submitted by Terry Snipes on May 26, 2006 - 12:22pm. growth | survival | terryBelow is a look into the survival I had to achieve to get to where I am today. I’d like you to understand how an individual, at the age of 22, can be so opinionated about life. I’ve gone through a lot, ladies and gentlemen. Love, relationships, death, drugs, sex and all sorts of other issues have bathed me in experiences that an 11 or 16 year old shouldn’t have witnessed. I just hope to inspire someone (if only one person) to hang on and SURVIVE!

A Cat's Tale
Submitted by ms zola on March 11, 2006 - 1:39pm. animal rescue | cats | hurricane | Kitten | survival | vetShe was lost and abandoned just weeks after her birth. With an impending hurricane bearing down on the city, her chances of survival were few. Still, her will to live kept her pushing on.
My son was walking to friend's house just before Hurricane Rita struck. He saw a small white creature, hardly recongizable pushing her way along side a busy street. As he approached the lost and frightened creature, she made a feeble attempt to run but was too weak to move. She was near death and yet she fought to free herself as he bent down and scooped her up into his arms.
