Below is a look into the survival I had to achieve to get to where I am today. I’d like you to understand how an individual, at the age of 22, can be so opinionated about life. I’ve gone through a lot, ladies and gentlemen. Love, relationships, death, drugs, sex and all sorts of other issues have bathed me in experiences that an 11 or 16 year old shouldn’t have witnessed. I just hope to inspire someone (if only one person) to hang on and SURVIVE!

She was lost and abandoned just weeks after her birth. With an impending hurricane bearing down on the city, her chances of survival were few. Still, her will to live kept her pushing on.

My son was walking to friend's house just before Hurricane Rita struck. He saw a small white creature, hardly recongizable pushing her way along side a busy street. As he approached the lost and frightened creature, she made a feeble attempt to run but was too weak to move. She was near death and yet she fought to free herself as he bent down and scooped her up into his arms.
