I'm a student attending college in central Georgia. My major is Art - (all fields) but my concentration is in photography. A Simple Message To That One "fake" MetorSubmitted by unspokenwordz on October 7, 2007 - 8:32am. learning | mentor | student | teachingNow days they are a lot of “fake” people out in the world, but no one tops the list then that one “fake” mentor. Every now and then two people connect to work with one another - one that is experience and one that it is not. The one that is experience agrees to help the one that it is not so experience and show them the ropes, becoming the mentor. After agreement of one been a mentor, these people (mentors) go out and ignore the inexperience person. Why is this? Why offer some one your help and never return a simple answer? Would it be easier or better to let the person know that you supposed to be mentoring that you are busy but did not forget about them, or tell them that you can not be their mentor. There is no need to go on leading one person that they have help when they really do not. Aren’t you a human being? Aren’t we family in one way or the other? Everyday I here stories about people that does this to them on a daily routine. I honest believe that these “fake” mentors are considered to be one of many groups that are lower then dirt. Remember that you (the mentor) yourself was in the same boat once upon a time, you were in a position where you did not know anything about anything and needed help to put your foot in the door. This is the same as those seeking help, all they are trying to do is put their foot in the door. The Popularity Of Teaching ESL and EFLSubmitted by aphrodite on August 15, 2007 - 3:02am. college | EFL | english | esl | language | second language | student | study | teach | teaching | workTeaching English as a second language is popular nowadays in countries where english as a medium of instruction is not being practiced. Countries like Korea, Japan, China, Mexico, and other non-english speaking countries are focusing on improving the english speaking skills of the younger generation in order to be globally competitive. This universal language indeed is necessary if you want to interact more and introduce your country, products and innovation to the global market. wishful thinkingSubmitted by monkeyking on January 18, 2007 - 9:02pm. mobile | Paris | student | TripLove is not to care as to care is not love. Okay... I've lost it. Today I have receive another letter asking me to consolidate my student loan. But I already did it already and have been paying 3 months off my loan. God why are they keep on sending me these mails? I would love to have a mail that said, "Congratualation you have won a trip to Paris." ^__^ I don't know alot of french. But I would love to go there. I wanted to see the Louvre. The eiffel tower is much interesting but I still want to go too, just to say I have been there. I don't go anywhere. I am always here, trap inside these 4 walls. :( Full Time StudentSubmitted by asiangamer on August 31, 2006 - 10:00pm. books | college | financial | studentOK this has been really getting on my nerves now. Everyone says that I should take like twenty units and not work at all because being a full time student is just like having a full time job. Well the only problem with that is that if I'm not able to work at all, I won't be able to buy my essential things such as books, and classroom requirements like the stupid lab goggles that cost me $8.50. Yale's Admission of Former High Ranking Taliban OfficialSubmitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 6:17am. college | student | Taliban | terror | war | YaleYesterday on Hannity and Colmes, a Fox News show, a debate raged over whether or not Yale should have admitted Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi, former deputy foreign secretary of the Taliban. A quote from Hashemi from December 2005 used Israel as an example of a United States Al Qaeda. Ann Coulter, a conservative author, was present and the debate raged between the liberals and conservatives on the show. The liberal argument was that through education would the perception of people and events of the world change. The conservatives argued that one of the few spots should not have been given to some one with a 4th grade level of education. |
