Time Warner Cable also wanted to stay in the HD expansion as Dish Network, DirecTV and other operators are launching HD channels rapidly. Time Warner is planning to launch 12 new high-definition channels in Southern California area. The time of the launch is not  disclosed, but the cable operator is getting ready for the launch. The new HD channels expected to be launched in Southern California area are&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Wasting water in Southern California.</title>

&lt;p&gt;As a resident of Southern California, I spend a good amount of time driving to andfrom work. Ah yes, one of the many delights of living in sunny SoCal. Or rainy SoCal, as it has been so far this year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyway, the freeway that I take to work every day parallels one of our &quot;rivers.&quot; Yes, they call it a &quot;river.&quot; I&#039;m sure way back before it was a concrete-lined flood control channel it was really a river, but now, like I said, it&#039;s a concrete-lined flood control channel that hardly ever has any water in it. When it rains though, it&#039;s a different story...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;An unnamed woman in my own little town in the Inland Empire of Southern California.  Local news reported that this brilliant piece of genetics was walking near an embankment along the Zanje creek wash (quite near my house) when she came across a pipe bomb (you know, all the creeks have ‘em nowadays).  Concerned, she did what any normal citizen would do...&lt;/p&gt;
