Can you tell the difference between a kiddy pornographic photo and a family photo? If you cannot tell the difference or do not know the legal difference, you should not be taking photos of your minor children or grandchildren.

Sex Offenders Are Victims Too
Submitted by deorre on July 31, 2006 - 4:36am. sex offender | victimThe Andrea Yates, 'not guilty by reason of insanity' retrial has got me to thinking. I know, I know...always a dangerous thing. Yet, sometimes I just can't help myself.
I can accept the new verdict, yet I fear it may lead to a very dangerous person having a chance to act out her dangerousness again. Once she is, uh, 'cured'. I mean, at some point, when she has been in treatment for quite a long time I'm sure, she will likely be deemed 'safe' to live outside of the confines of whatever institution she finds herself. When that day arrives--and it will--I hope safeguards are set up that not only 'encourage' responsible participation in an overall outpatient psychiatric regimen, but mandate such.
Is It Possible To Commit Just One Sexual Offense?
Submitted by deorre on March 11, 2006 - 11:32pm. civil liberty | sex offender | victimEverywhere, in the papers, blogs, magazines, and on the television, the forward charge is to restrict, manage, control, and generally prevent sex offenders from perpetrating their perversities upon the innocent children. A laudable and reasonable mission. Some will go so far as to demand castration, if not death, to the rapist, child molester, exhibitionist, froterrist, or voyeur. Again, we must keep the children and any other potential victim safe!
Should Sex Offenders Be Employed in Schools?
Submitted by realitycheck on February 8, 2006 - 11:41am. adults | children | danger | pornography | prevention | risk | safety | school | sex offender | studentsRape, molestation, groping...a truly accidental brush against a breast, making a phone call...saying "tits" in public... where do you draw the line for a sex crime?
Although all of the prior mention things are possibly innapropriate and maybe even offensive, does that make them all criminal actions? Should someone be penalized for words alone?
A hot debate lately is "SHOULD SEX OFFENDERS BE ALLOWED TO BE EMPLOYED AT SCHOOLS?"
