SIMPLE TRICKS FOR DATING & DETERMINING THE AGE OF VINTAGE CLOTHING

A Buyer and Seller's Guide To Vintage

In the world of vintage fashion, looks can be deceiving. It is very easy to clash decades together. What appears to be from the forties could really be from the sixties, and what appears to be from the sixties could just as easily be a modern retro style. More and more, we see beloved fashions from the past reintroduced on today's runways. So now, while there is no degree for dating vintage clothing, you can learn a few tricks of the trade and with enough experience become an expert. For me, I've read several books and price guides and spent hours and hours (literally) on the internet doing research. Whether you're buying or selling vintage, you can use this guide to help determine the age of a garment. While most of these are the exception, not the rule, it can at least help you narrow an item down to a decade.

How To Be A Master Salesperson
Salesmanship is as old as man.
Eve sold Adam on the idea of eating of the forbidden fruit. Adam tried to sell God on the idea that it wasn't his fault. The profession of sales is indeed one of the worlds oldest occupations. It has undergone many changes as it evolved over the years into what is now a very noble and rewarding trades. Salespeople are special in that they must be good communicators as well as persuades. A good salesperson can detect changes of mood, like fear, joy, apprehension, reluctance, desire, and build trust and confidence into their sales presentation. They know every stall or objection the prospect can and will present and how to counter with calm and assurance. They build and maintain a reputation for being trustworthy and a pillar of the community.

A Monopoly On Ticket Selling( Scalping)

concerts | selling | ticket brokers | tickets | unfair

I tell ya, I am getting soooo tired of this on going problem in my city, and probably a host of others as well concerning the buying or not being able to buy tickets to upcoming shows.

We have a brand new arena in downtown Kansas City called the Sprint Center. So far they have put tickets on sale for Elton John-sold out in less than 90 minutes. Then there is Miley Cirus-better known as "Hannah Montana" . Lets see, I dont recall to many Kansas Citians able to buy any tickets when they went on sale at the specified time. Well this has made news and people are just raising cain about not being able to buy these tickets, and they want City Hall to do something about the fact that ticket brokers are the ones buying up all the tickets. Then they turn around and sell them online for a marked up price.

Why I love Ebay

buying | coupons | ebay | frugal living | money | online auctions | selling

I love Ebay, both buying and selling. You can get so many great deals.

I have purchased a variety of things from Ebay. It's awesome. I've purchased everything from clothing, to books, to vacuum belts.

Selling on Ebay is great too, especially if you have children. Kids outgrow stuff so fast, that you can sell things that are still in really good condition.

The only downfall to selling can be the fees. The fees can be quite alot of what you make. Say you have an item that you have listed at .99. Automatically, it's going to cost .20 to list. If you want a gallery photo, there is another .35.
